Leading up to the big day, Latrice Wells had a gut feeling she would be the winner of the Planet Bingo® “Play Bingo - Win a Car” sweepstakes. So much so, that on the day of the preliminaries, she asked the Planet Bingo® ambassador if she could hold onto her bingo receipt and touch his hand for luck.

The 27 year old Latrice with her charming and sweet demeanor, played for the St. Mary Magdalen Church Charity at Warren Plaza Bingo where she won her chance at the grand prize, a beautiful red 2010 Chevy Aveo 5 Door Hatchback. Planet Bingo® covered the entire cost of the vehicle down to the license fees. “We wanted to do something nice for our players and make sure that whoever won the car would be able to drive it off the lot completely free and clear” said Rick White, CEO of Planet Bingo®.

Latrice, who is described as a very upbeat and caring person couldn’t be more deserving. Due to the economic downturn, Latrice like many others wasn’t in a position to purchase a car. She is more concerned with helping her family with groceries and bills which is where the majority of her money goes. As a matter of fact, Latrice didn’t have a car at all, leaving her dependant on public transportation, friends, and family to get around. She needed this car.

On the day of the drawing, over 100 people showed up to Matick Chevrolet in Redford, MI where the staff gracefully prepared for the big day. Latrice came with her significant other and asking if she could again hold onto her Golden Ticket for luck. The showroom was completely silent while the barrel turned, mixing the tickets. As the ticket was drawn, Latrice’s rubbed her Golden Ticket one last time before she realized her number was called and she was blessed with a brand new car! Latrice was so thankful and graceful that she gave everyone a big hug before posing for pictures.
